Every job starts with the truth. Our comprehensive diagnostic tells you exactly what is wrong, what it costs to fix and whether it is worth fixing — in writing, with evidence.
A proper transmission diagnosis is more than reading a code. Codes tell you what the computer noticed; they rarely tell you why. Our diagnostic combines a road test that reproduces your symptom, a factory-level scan with live shift data, a fluid condition inspection, and a physical check of mounts, linkages, wiring and cooler lines.
You get the results as a clear written report with photos — what we found, what it means, what it costs to fix, and our honest recommendation, including 'do not fix this car' when that is the right answer. No jargon, no pressure, no talking down to anyone.
If you proceed with the repair, the diagnostic fee is credited toward the work. If you do not, you keep the report and can take it anywhere — though most of our customers stay, which tells you something.

How much does a transmission diagnostic cost?
Our comprehensive diagnostic is a flat fee, quoted when you book, and it is credited in full toward any repair we perform. You will never pay for diagnosis twice.
Can you diagnose a problem another shop could not find?
Frequently, yes. Transmission-specific faults hide from generic scan tools and generalist experience. Bring the other shop's findings — we will confirm or correct them with evidence.
Should I get a second opinion before a dealer replacement?
Always, when the quote is thousands of dollars. Dealers replace complete units; specialists repair them. A one-hour diagnostic can save you four figures.
